Debbie is famous in our town for the food she brought to the Saturday trade fairs at the M.I.U. Student Union, for 15 years. When she left town, the trade fair collapsed, and many people starved, but she wrote down the recipes in Cabbages and Roses.
Debbie's recipes are quick and easy, they always work, and taste great. Although it's mostly vegetarian, there are chicken recipes in Cabbages and Roses, which makes it an excellent transitional vegetarian cookbook.
